Kline Boyd, Board of Directors

Kline Boyd has an extensive background in marketing, branding, and operational management for many entreprenurial and start-up businesses ranging from kids sportwear to oil and gas. Early in his career, Boyd co-founded Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) and Varsity Spirit developing partnerships with some of the biggest names in sports apparel such as Nike, Umbro and Capizio. Mr. Boyd was instrumental in helping grow Varsity Spirit into the world’s largest supplier of cheerleading products, services and programs.

Today, Mr. Boyd leads the investment group of Boyd & McWilliams Investments. He is a partner Boyd & McWilliams Energy Group and its affiliates, Boyd & McWilliams Investments, Boyd & McWilliams Operating, and Boyd & McWilliams Partnership. Boyd also co-founded Boyd & McWilliams in 1978 as a land brokerage company that later moved into oil and gas operations in 1980.

Mr. Boyd has served on the board of directors of numerous companies and organizations including Varsity Spirit Corporation, NuTech Energy Alliance, and Smith Oil Company. Boyd is a trustee of the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum, member of America Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), and member and former director of Permian Basin Landmen’s Association (PBLA). Mr. Boyd is a graduate of Southern Methodist University.
